Formula Run: Gear-up for men with cancer

Gear-up for men with cancer on September 19 and get your family, friends and workmates together and get into gear for Cancer Council Queensland’s FORMULA RUN.

www.formularun.org.au

FORMULA RUN is a 5km and 10km track for people of all ages and abilities. Hosted by Cancer Council Queensland and held during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, FORMULA RUN will raise valuable funds for research into men’s cancers while raising awareness of men’s health.

The course will kick off at Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and wind its way around the river.

All participants will be electronically timed and Cancer Council Queensland’s trained volunteers will man health education “pit stops” along the course to share tips and tricks on how to live a cancer smart lifestyle with all participants and supporters.

With one in every two Queensland men diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime, FORMULA RUN is your chance to step up and help us find the formula to end men’s cancers.

If you are a dad, a brother, a son or a mate – you can make a difference!

Here are three ways you can gear-up for FORMULA RUN:

Register to run the FORMULA RUN as an individual or grab your family, friends or workmates and enter as part of a team.

Register to volunteer on the day. Our volunteers are the heart of our organisation and we’ll need all hands on deck to help us register our runners at the start, support our runners on the track and congratulate them at the end. If you’d like to be a part of our volunteer pit crew on the day, please email fundraising@cancerqld.org.au or call 1300 65 65 85.

Support your community and come along on the day to join in the fun and entertainment and show your support to the men of Brisbane as they run in the hope of a cancer free future and an end to men’s cancers.
