Cancer Council Queensland has today launched its new online podcasts library, boosting the information and resources available online for the community and health professionals.
The podcasts, which are now available for the public to stream and download on CCQ's website, will give all Queenslanders direct access to the State's leading cancer experts and their pioneering work and developments in cancer research, treatments, care and support.
CCQ spokesperson Claire Kelly said the ongoing development of CCQ's podcast library was an important initiative for the organisation.
"Education and awareness is vital in the fight against cancer and we hope this new online resource will be accessed locally and internationally.
"CCQ facilitates hundreds of seminars, forums and information sessions each year, and many of these will now be accessible to people around the world affected by cancer.
"The content in these podcasts will also provide ongoing professional education and development opportunities for rural and regional health professionals working in cancer care who previously have not been able to attend these seminars in person," Ms Kelly said.
Cancer Council Queensland will continue to add to the podcast library over time.
