Cancer Connect offers peer emotional support and information for people with cancer, provided by volunteers who have had a similar cancer experience.
Talking to someone who has had a similar cancer experience can be an incredibly positive experience. Our Cancer Connect program connects patients and volunteers for emotional support and is a free and confidential service. Our support volunteers are fully trained.
How the volunteer can help you with:
- Support before, during or after treatment and during recovery.
- Practical information gained through personal experience.
- Hope and encouragement, and a positive role model for recovery.
- Ideas about where to find more information.
We have volunteers available to support people with a wide variety of cancer types.
Our volunteers do not give medical advice or provide professional counselling.
