Central Queensland Cancer Support Centre

The new $2 million Central Queensland Cancer Support Centre comprises eight home-style accommodation units and an education and support centre.

The Centre provides a unique service in the regional health district, offering a comfortable place to stay for cancer patients from regional areas.

Importantly, the Centre enables easier access to cancer screening, detection, and treatment services for Central Queensland residents.

The Centre was officially opened in September 2009 by Cancer Council Queensland's Chairman, the Honourable Justice Richard Chesterman RFD, and the Deputy Premier and Minister for Health, the Honourable Paul Lucas MP.

The Centre is located at 43 Upper Dawson Road, Rockhampton. For more information and to enquire about our accommodation, please contact Shelley Hanrahan in our Rockhampton office on (07) 4932 8600 or email shelleyhanrahan@cancerqld.org.au.
