Orientation to Cancer Council Queensland programs

Cancer Council Queensland is the leading cancer control organisation in Queensland.

We provide a range of cancer support services and programs that are tailored to meet the needs of people with cancer. We aim to educate the community about the prevention and early detection of cancer by promoting knowledge, skills and behaviours to help reduce people’s risk of the disease.

We also provide a range of services and supports for health professionals who care for people with cancer or who are involved in the prevention and early detection of cancer. This includes special interest group membership, education forums, cancer care courses, scholarships and travel grants. To assist health professionals with their knowledge about cancer care, we also provide orientation programs about Cancer Council Queensland for health professionals.
