If you want to have your skin checked, your general practitioner (GP) is the best person to see. They know your medical history and can provide follow up care.
If you would like a second opinion you can ask your GP for a referral to a specialist such as a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.Cancer Council Queensland recommends annual skin checks.
If you have been treated for skin cancer it is a good idea to have your skin checked by your GP or specialist on a regular basis, or as advised by your specialist.
