Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Australian men and the second leading cause of cancer death in men, following lung cancer. Between 2002 and 2005 an average of 2,600 Queensland men were diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.

Cancer Council Helpline will be hosting the 9th annual prostate cancer call-in from 6pm - 9pm, Thursday, September 11.

During this time the Helpline will be staffed by experts in prostate cancer, including specialist nurses, prostate cancer survivors and a consultant urologist.

If you or someone you know is affected by cancer or you have general questions about prostate cancer,

call the Helpline on 13 11 20 for the cost of a local call from anywhere in Queensland.

Questions can also be submitted via the Helpline email to helpline@cancerqld.org.au

For general information on prostate cancer please visit the resources section of our website.
