“For my 30th birthday I wanted to do something really
different and raise some money for a charity. I asked family and friends not to buy me a present but to make a donation to The Cancer Council Queensland – they loved the idea and it felt great to give to such a worthwhile cause.”

“We want our baby girl, Belinda to grow up in a cancer-free world. Instead of gifts at Belinda’s christening, we asked family and friends to donate to The Cancer Council. Everyone embraced the idea, as we all share the hope of a future without cancer.”

Give the ultimate gift on your wedding day
|
Give a meaningful and memorable gift to guests on your wedding day. Make a donation to The Cancer Council Queensland in lieu of traditional wedding favours.
Your generous gift will be acknowledged in the form of a scroll, which can be placed at your guest’s table setting, notifying that a contribution has been made to The Cancer Council Queensland in memory of a loved one or as a general donation.
You may like to donate the cost of traditional wedding favours or more where you can, for each scroll. Donations can be made online or by phoning 1300 65 65 85. |
Simply:
1. Decide how much you would like to donate per guest.
2. Make a donation.
3. Download scrolls (linked below) and print on the paper of your choice.
4. Roll up and attach ribbons, bells or daffodil pins to match your colour theme.
5. Place scrolls at each guest's table setting on your wedding day.

“Bernie and I are so glad to be able to help such a worthy cause on our wedding day. It’s heartbreaking to see someone you love become sick. Cancer is a horrible disease but to know there are organisations like The Cancer Council who can support cancer patients and their families is just wonderful.”
Alisa and Bernie, Brisbane
“My father couldn’t walk me down the isle, so in his memory we decided to donate to The Cancer Council Queensland. Everyone was really moved when they read their wedding scrolls; they truly added that special touch to our day.”
Fiona and Joel, Southport
“By donating to The Cancer Council Queensland in lieu of wedding favours on our wedding day, we not only celebrated our special day with loved ones, we celebrated with rest of the Queensland community too.”
Jasmin and Tom, Townsville
